Let’s talk Fall Must have LIPSTICKS!!

It’s the moment that we’ve all been waiting on, it officially Fall season. And that means, our lips have to match our fall fashion trends. This is a basic guide for the inner fashionista or the tom-girl like me who is looking to spice up our lipstick this fall. The hottest lipstick shades to wear this fall can be found at your local drug store and online. They can even be found at your favorite department store, while you’re shopping for the Fall.

Ok, let’s get into these FALL MUST HAVE LIPSTICKS;

Dark Red

Leopard print only pairs well with dark red lips this fall. Consider toning down that bright red lipstick shade a darker shade. These dark lips go well with anything gold, brown or other warm colors you wear this Fall. Unless it is appropriate for your work environment, I would stay away from wearing a dark red (or any shade of red) at work. An alternative would be to wear a nude color during work hours and change to the darker red for happy hour.

Berry

Any berry colors or wine color lipstick shades pairs well with your darker Fall hues. Once the leaves start to fall and you’re wearing your olive or hunter green midi skirts or dark denim. Berry lippies are a winner. With this shade, you want to keep in mind that wearing bold and basic colors is the way to go. However, you can get creative as you like and wear it with any prints of your choice.

Brown

This shade is the darker “neutral” color to wear for the fall and winter months. When you can’t decide on what shade to wear with your fall trends, always bet on brown. Usually any brown lipsticks appear as a light nude or pink once you apply them on your lips. But you can find some deep brown shades out there in the market.

Metallic Copper

I love to wear this shade of lipstick with my favorite pair of ripped jeans, ankle boots, and a white t-shirt or graphic T. This is the perfect color to wear during Halloween of course but also if you’re attending a networking event. This shade of lipstick can be paired with clothes that are softer nude or light pink colors that you can wear underneath a leather jacket.

Black

Dare to be bold? Well, you will definitely make heads turn when you walk in a room wearing any shade of black lipstick. Black lipsticks aren’t just made for Halloween. If you are going for a chic gothic look, this is the shade for you. I found that adding a gloss or if you’re old school like me, add Vaseline to give it a sleek shine.

Whatever your preference for fall fashion is, there’s a basic lipstick shade that matches your skin tone and your clothes. Your style is yours to own and look fly in. You can match your lipstick shades with your clothes, or you can be bold and go against the almighty fashion rules this fall. Enjoy fall fashion but most importantly, enjoy the skin that you’re in, no matter lipstick shade you’re rocking!
