HOW TO CREATE YOUR PINTEREST BOARDS
HOW TO CREATE YOUR PINTEREST BOARDS
Pinterest Boards are pretty much the best way to organize your different pins, so today I am sharing How to Create Your Pinterest BOARDS!! It’s a question that’s been coming up a lot so I figured I’ll do a quick blog post about it.
Let’s dive in.
What Are Pinterest Boards?
Pinterest boards are pretty much folders. It’s like organizing your home desk, you won’t let ALL of your documents pile up on your desk right? You will stop at Walmart and grab some folders, create different categories and place the proper documents in each. Well, on Pinterest those folders are called, BOARDS.
How do I Create MY Boards?
Great question, starting out I would suggest creating no more than 8-10 boards that fit your brand best and your personal interests.
Meaning, create your boards based on exactly what your business is about. For example, my blog is a lifestyle blog so most of my boards are pretty much my categories, like; travel tips, beauty hacks, personal style, women’s style inspiration, celebrity style, Pinterest Tips, wealth building, etc. No need to get clever or cute with your board names. The easier they are the easier you will be found in the search on Pinterest. So the keep is to create SEO-friendly boards.
And create boards where you can share most of the pins you create for your brand. Most of my boards are fashion-related boards so almost every single piece of content that I create can be pinned onto every single one of my boards. And it won’t look spammy because you can pin the same exact pin into different boards.
If you are still not sure how to name your boards, I will suggest searching on Pinterest for board topics to see what board names comes up in the search results. What are some of the names other people in your industry are using? Be VERY specific. Focus on your niche. If you make custom jewelry create boards like “Custom Gold Necklaces”, instead of just “Gold Necklaces”. Make sure one of your boards is your actual business name.
Now it’s time to start PINNING!! After you create each board, immediately save up to 3-5 pins for each board. I would suggest starting with
