If you told me back on June 27, 2011, when I published my very first blog post that I would be where I am today I would have LMAOOOOOO. But here I am 9 years later I have accomplished sooooooo muchhhhhh!!! I’ve worked with MAJOR brands, I launched a SUCCESSFUL photography business, I bought my very first house and ALL of that was possible because I made a decision to be a blogger. I decided to celebrate my blog today because I will be giving this blog a major makeover. So HAPPY BLOG ANNIVERSARY to me!!!!!

When I launched my blog I had no idea what I was doing and of course, it was hardddddd but I’ve figured it out and I have learned a world of lessons along the way. Sooooo figured on my 9th blog anniversary I decided to share 9 life lessons I’ve learned from blogging for 9 years. So let’s get into them.

  • Patience is a Virtue
  • Consistency is Key
  • Blogging is a Business
  • My blog does make a difference
  • Being myself is my superpower
  • Absolutely NOTHING worth having comes easy
  • People are hella lazy
  • Money is a tool to build wealth
  • Be ready to PIVOT as needed

1- Patience is a Virtue. I’m not gonna lie, NOT ONE PERSON is more impatient than ME. I think it’s safe to say I am that microwave millennial people are always talking about, lol. I want everything in a quick and hurry. Buttttttt, launching this blog taught me everything takes time, work, and consistency. So 9 years later I am learning to apply the blogging/business lessons I’ve learned about patience to my personal life.

2- Consistency is KEY. Luckily I learned the importance of consistency real early on as a blogger and I have made it my mission to create a platform around Consistency. I have been able to create ANY success for myself because I’ve been consistent.

3Blogging is Business. For the longest, I did not considered my blog to be a business so of course, I did not run it as a business. But blogging is indeed a business and it should be run as such.

4- My blog does make a difference. My mindset for the longest was thinking no one actually cared about the things I was blogging about. So I was ALWAYS trying to change things up. But my blog DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE and a lottttt of people have been inspired to start a blog because of my little blog.

9 LIFE LESSONS FROM BLOGGING FOR 9 YEARS

5- Being myself is my superpower. It’s really hard to be anything else but myself but being in the public eye and almost everything I share is being judged I started to question things and being a lot more cautious of how much of me I share or not. But being a PERSONAL LIFESTYLE blogger gave me more than enough room to be myself and share things I love and what makes me, ME.

6. Absolutely NOTHING worth having comes easy. Mannnnnn, I wish someone stress the importance of that little statement to me. Absolutely NOTHING worth having comes easy. Personally and professionally. And this blog have forced me to work a lot harder for every single thing I want.

7. People are hella lazy. Omg, I’m not gonna lie pushing people is HARDDDDDD. Because I’ve wanted to change my life sooo bad and I’ve done whatever it took to do what I need to do to be where I am today and did honestly think OTHER people were willing to do the same. Boyyyyyy was I WRONG. Launching my blog-coaching business definitely gave me a run for my money and reminded me of how lazy people are and that type of coaching simply was not for me. I am more for the people who know what they want and just need a little guidance. I’ll share the info but it’s your job is apply it.

8-Money is a tool to build wealth. I spent the first few years on this journey focusing on finding ways to pay the bills and pay the bills consistently and 9 years later I can. I can pay the bills, save money AND focus on building WEALTH. Wealth that can be passed down to my future children.

9-Be ready to PIVOT as needed. Since I started this blog 9 years ago, I’ve launched many other things but none of them were because I had to. All of them were because I wanted to and I things felt like make sense. Well, 2020 taught me the biggest lesson since I’ve been on this journey. Corona happened and It kind of forced me to PIVOT. So I have been focusing ALL of my time and energy learning about the stock market. And if you ask me what’s next for me the answer is BUILDING WEALTH and sharing everything I’m learning right here on the blog.

Blogging has CHANGED MY ENTIRE LIFE and I will forever be grateful for this journey and I can’t wait to share what’s next and ALLLLLLLL the amazing things I am working on!!

I also want to say thank youuuuuu for all the love and support over these last 9 years, I am extremely grateful, cheers to more years and even more SUCCESS!!!!!!

I hope these 9 life lessons help you on YOUR blogging journey 😉
