WPS Day 4: Boss'd Up, Now What Awards

Just when I though the conference couldn’t get any better than Days 1 through 3, Day 4 blew my mind! The Boss’d Up, Now What Awards/Breakfast was nothing short of amazing! The Werk Pray Slay team saved the best for last with speakers like Pinky Cole (CEO of Slutty Vegan ATL), Lucinda Cross (The Big Ask), Bianca Robinson (The Bianca Experience), and Mia Ray (Confessions of a Glam-Aholic)! These ladies dropped even more gems, but you definitely needed to be there to really get the full experience. Just know that there were some happy tears shed, and emotions were on high!

Know who you are, what you do, and how you will serve others.
Get into the habit of pitching to people who you already have a relationship with.
Make a list of businesses that you want to work with for 2020. What can you bring to the table in order to work with them?

Next, was a panel discussion with WERKaholic Award recipients Mia Ray and Lucinda Cross. Mia Ray gave us insight into how she became an entrepreneur, while also balancing motherhood. And Lucinda Cross took us to church with a quick lesson on how to ask for what you want/need! She had the room on their feet, and even helped one of the attendees make a few business connections that are sure to take her business from an online store to a brick and mortar location!

The People’s Choice Award was given to one of our favorite makeup artists, Arielle Antoinette! She totally deserved the Award!

Later, we were brought to our feet again when Pinky Cole of the Slutty Vegan gave us a sermon on her long road to creating her successful Slutty Vegan restaurants! This was another one that you needed to be in the room to experience. Just know that! Pinky Cole was also announced as this Fall/Winter WERK Magazine cover girl!

The event closed with a huge group photo, and many well wishes as we headed back to our destinations.
