When something you love becomes work, it comes with a level of pressure. And when the world comes tumbling, you tend to lose a sense of self.
This year I’m excited to get back to the things that set my soul on fire. The things I started because well, I was passionate. 2022, I’m operating in my Zone of Genius.
What does that mean? While I was flying to Florida for NYE, I had dropped my phone under the seat and I couldn’t get it until we land. The plane I was on was old so the TV was old and it was making this funny sound so I couldn’t watch a movie. I sat there for the whole hour and 45 mins staring at the window daydreaming about 2022.
Thinking about ALL of my goals, and all the plans I have to achieve them. As we were landing over Fort Lauderdale airport and the Pilot says Welcome to Fort Lauderdale if this is home welcome home. Something came over me. Like I have not been home, I have not been feeling at home since Covid hit, March 2020. I’ve been so stuck and feeling ALL kind of confused and while I have this GRAND plan to make 2022 my best year yet it probably won’t be because I’m just gonna continue to throw everything on the wall and see what sticks.
Then I remember something I read recently on social media that says, “you are lost and confused because you are not operating in your zone of genius”. From that thought, I decided to forget my “2022 plan”. My only goal this year is to operate in my zone of genius. And my zone of genius is literally, ADD VALUE.
I am a doer and a sharer. I do and share what I’m doing. Covid was able to shake my world up so much because I wasn’t operating in my Zone of Genius. I was operating out of survival mode. I was actually operating out of fear.
That flight to Fort Lauderdale helped me gain the clarity I’ve been searching for, for almost 2 years.
This phase is called OPERATING IN MY ZONE OF GENIUS. #Grateful
