The 75 Hard Challenge

2024 was indeed a challenging year, and I personally fell short of accomplishing the top 2 major goals I had set for myself, primarily due to a lack of self-discipline and focus.

To start 2025 on the right track and regain my discipline, I have decided to take on the 75 Hard Challenge. Here’s a breakdown of how the challenge works.

About 75 Hard

The 75 Hard Challenge is a mental and physical toughness program created by entrepreneur Andy Frisella. It is designed to help participants develop discipline, resilience, and self-improvement over a 75-day period. The challenge is not just a fitness regimen; it’s a comprehensive lifestyle change that includes a series of daily tasks that must be completed without exception.

Daily Tasks

To successfully complete the 75 Hard Challenge, participants must follow these five daily tasks:

  1. Follow a Diet
    Choose a diet plan and stick to it for the entirety of the challenge. There are no specific dietary restrictions, but the plan should be healthy and promote physical fitness.
  2. Complete Two Workouts
    Perform two workouts each day, with at least one being outdoors. Each workout should last at least 45 minutes.
  3. Drink a Gallon of Water
    Stay hydrated by drinking one gallon (3.78 liters) of water every day.
  4. Read 10 Pages
    Read at least 10 pages of a non-fiction book each day to promote personal development. Audiobooks do not count.
  5. Take a Progress Photo
    Take a daily progress photo to visually track changes throughout the challenge.

  • No Cheating: If you fail to complete any of the tasks for a day, you must start over from day one.

As I can follow any diet, it simply needs to be clean eating, avoiding junk food, and of course no cheat days. I’ve decided to follow a calorie-deficit diet, which you can explore HERE. My goal is to consume delicious Whole Foods and fresh juices.

Workouts

Planning is essential for effective workouts, as they can be quite challenging without a strategy. For my outdoor sessions, I enjoy going for walks. However, I alternate my indoor workouts each week. Recently, I spent a week using my Mini Stepper. Currently, I’m focusing on YouTube workouts for a week, after which I plan to explore various fitness classes, including boot camps, cycling, boxing, and more.
