Summer 2019 has been dubbed the “Hot Girl Summer” and we’re all here for it! Megan the Stallion put the phrase into motion and we have all taken it and ran with it. Yet there really isn’t one specific definition for “Hot Girl Summer”. So here is mine; A summer of women taking control of everything, from their bag (coins), their love life, their mental health, and most importantly their happiness. This summer has been filled with that and was just oozing with black women taking back control. So lets dub this a Black Girl Magic Summer! Today I want to share a few companies that are owned by black women with products for black women. So here are the 3 black-own businesses you should know about.

Hair

This week I used products from the NaturAll Club prior to getting my hair done. NaturAll is a company owned by Muhga Eltigani, who herself is a natural hair beauty. Their mission is to ensure that their company practices using natural, safe, and non-toxic ingredients to make products that nourish the hair. All of this while ensuring the highest standard of performance.

In doing some more research into the company, I discovered that the company is offering informative posts on natural haircare. Hosting community meet-ups for encouragement, and fostering online communities. Where natural hair beauties can learn from each other while on their hair journey.

Personal Experience

As a woman who has what has been deemed 4z hair, or what Lil Wayne refers to as the toughest type of hair. It’s hard to find products that truly work for my hair. I was skeptical about NaturAll but as I am back on my Natural Hair Journey I was willing to try anything. Using the Hair Mask and Conditioner I pre pooed my hair (left on for an hour). I then shampooed and conditioned with the products. Afterward, I used the oil on my scalp.

Later, I allowed my hair to air dry in two-strand twists prior to heading to my stylist. Running my fingers through my hair I was amazed. My hair felt soft but I didn’t think anything of it until it was time for my braid down. That is when I really noticed how much my hair was LOVING these products. Even my stylist was shocked. My hair was SOFT and EASY to part and it smelled heavenly!! NaturAll products are a must try.

3 Black Businesses To Support This Summer
Honey Pot Normal System

The Honey Pot is a Feminine Hygiene company founded by Bea Feliu-Espada. She founded the Honey Pot due to her personal battle with bacterial vaginosis for months and the inability to get relief. After a vision for her mission, she stepped up to solve for what other brands wouldn’t, using the power of herbs. I too share the same struggle but not as intense. However, I still wanted something that was natural and would allow my body to return to it normal balance. I started using the system about two months ago, in that time I have noticed that my body is back to normal.
