SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS

Heyyyy darlings, HAPPY MONDAYYYYY!!!! Of course I am super excited to kick off a brand new week!! And this week I am sharing social media tips all week. I ask my social media friends what should this week topic be and their picked social media. So here we are…. 5 days, 1 topic and 5 blog posts. Let’s get to the first post.

First of all, SOCIAL MEDIA DOES NOT BELONG YOU. Yes, I know that’s how most of us make our money and grow our brand. But imagine this: Let’s say you spend ALLLLLL of your time on Instagram, you have tons of followers, they love you, they love your brand and you’ve really build a real authentic community. But because you spend ALL of your time on Instagram you are not building a following on any other platforms or consistently updating your blog/website. Then one day your Instagram got hacked or Instagram decided to shut down your account for whatever reason. So what do you do now? Exactly, you have no idea, lol.

Tip: SOCIAL MEDIA DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU.

• Social Media Does Not Belong to you so build a strong audience on multiple platforms.
• If you are not already doing so, start building an email list and send weekly emails.
• You need a home so DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR BLOG OR WEBSITE.
• Your content should go on your blog/website BEFORE social media.
• Social medial is not the end all be all, promote yourself offline.
• Every conversation you have should end with you talking about what you do.
• Again, SOCIAL MEDIA DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU learn other ways to build and grow your business.

Figured I’ll kick off social media week with kicking your butt about putting ALL of your eggs in ONE basket.
