a much-needed break to disconnect, reconnect and fall in love!
It goes without saying life is BUSY. Between running 2 businesses pretty much slaves to our phones and computers. I decided I needed a break to disconnect and reconnect and just be still.
So I teamed up with @GetawayHouse to plan the PERFECT Getaway to truly disconnect from my regular life and be in the moment. And I think it’s safe to say it was one of the best few days of my life.
Getaway House was literally created to give people like ourselves time, space, and permission to be off. Their tiny cabins in nature provide a break from the city, technology, and work so that we can recharge and reconnect to who and what matters.
And that’s exactly what I did.
I was really surprised at myself. I was able to put my phone AWAY. I was not posting a million pictures on social media, I barely checked emails, the stock market. I did not edit ANY PHOTOS.
I went fishing, yup, this city girl WENT FISHING, lol. I spent hours in front of the fire talking and making smores. I’ve been on manyyyy trips, but this one was definitely my FAVORITE!!

The tiny cabin was fully equipped with every single thing needed to feel at home.
As you can see I was OBSESSED with the big glass window!!! The view truly was breath taking!!!

I love this!!! I want to go the cabins again but I’ve never tried the tiny cabins. I need to look into this.
