11 Must-Have Carry-On Essentials
Happy Travel Thursday, The New Year is almost here and I want to start us off on the right travel foot. This new decade will not find us sleeping on our travels. And one way to do that is to be carry-on ready. That is why I am sharing with you guys 11 must-have carry-on essentials that are sure to set your upcoming decade right. So let’s not wait any longer here they are.
Wallet
The first thing I want to make sure you pack in your carry-on is your wallet. Trust me you don’t want to go to the airport and forget your wallet. I personally carry a satchel wallet that I can wear around my body. This way I know its there and once I am done checking in I put it in my carry-on backpack. So don’t forget to grab yourself one. I totally recommended this one.
Snacks
Don’t forget to pack a snack. A must for the 11 must-have carry-on essentials. I know that airlines provide us with snacks. But nothing beats having your own snacks that you actually like and enjoy. I try to pack something that is not that healthy this way I feel as if I am truly on vacation. Plus it’s fun to watch everyone eat their weird airplane snack while you enjoy a bag of hot Cheeto puffs.
Beauty Products
As a girl, I always try to carry my essential beauty products. I’m low maintenance in that department. But I always make sure to have my lip balm, BB cream, and at least a brush and powder. Everything else is a blessing if I remember them. So don’t forget to carry your beauty products. I usually put all of my beauty products in a makeup bag that is small enough to fit in my back-pack yet big enough to hold my stuff.
Reusable Water Bottle
One thing that many people tend to forget is a water bottle. But that is a thing of the past if you are reading this post. Don’t forget to pack a reusable water bottle. Remember you can’t bring liquids through TSA so the water bottle has to be reusable and empty. Here’s a trick fill the water bottle up at one of the local restaurants in the airport. Water is always free and you get to stay hydrated.
Headphones
I think that most essential of the 11 must-have carry-on essentials is headphones. I hate sitting on a flight without headphones. And if you are honest you hate it too. Personally I get nervous during takeoffs. And the only thing that seems to calm down my nerves is listening to music. It distracts me from the takeoff. So it is an essential product for me. Plus it blocks out the noise so you don’t have to hear all the craziness going around. Also, headphones allow you to enjoy the in-flight entertainment. This year invest in some good headphones.
Neck Pillow
If you are planning on traveling often then you need to invest in a neck pillow. Neck Pillows are a great way to sleep semi-comfortably on a plane. I am not going to lie to you and tell you that a neck pillow helps you get comfortable. It really only helps a little bit. But when you are tired a little help goes a long way. So don’t forget your neck pillow. At least you will be able to get some rest before the adventure begins.
Blanket
Most people forget how cold it can get on an airplane but I didn’t. That is why I am making sure you know that having a blanket, jacket, or even a scarf is an essential item for you carry on. It will keep you warm so that you don’t have to sit uncomfortably for 2 hours or more in the cold. You want your flight to be as enjoyable as possible and sitting in the cold is not enjoyable at all.
Book
If you’re like most Americans reading is not something we get to do very often. So it is a treat when we have time for it. At least for me, it is. that is why I am adding a book to the 11 must-have carry-on essentials. Flights are long. Why not catch up on your favorite book. I know in-flight entertainment is good but when will you get a long period of time like that again? So do yourself a favor and grab that book and put it in your carry-on.
Chargers
I have a bad habit of never having my phone, computer, iPad, headphones and anything that needs a charge not charged. It sounds crazy but I am constantly getting stuck without a charged cellphone. But because we live in the 21st century most planes have a port for you to charge your phones and other electronics. So don’t forget your chargers so that you can make sure everything is charged.
Sunglasses
No matter where you’re going a pair of sunglasses is always a good idea. That is why it is a must-have item. Protect yourself from the sun and keep those eyes looking great. Especially is you have a medical condition. Plus sunglasses are a great accessory to add to your style. You definitely don’t want to forget them.
Personal Items
Last but not least. Ladies don’t forget your personal items. Feminine products, and other personal accessories such as deodorants, and toothbrush. I carry those on the plane with me because I never know what might happen. I’m always prepared at all times. SO, be like me and be prepared. You can pack everything in a makeup bag as I do. This way everything is in one place and compact.
That’s all for now friends. Until next time. If you enjoyed this post check me out on my blog and also Instagram. And also check out other travel posts here.
