The holiday season is upon us. Like literally Christmas is right around the corner. And we all know what that means. It is time we start thinking about what we have to pack for those family trips. You know the ones that involve the cold weather that as a Floridian I avoid. (Sorry I had to brag a little bit.) But if you are heading out this holiday season some travel essentials are ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. That is why I want to share with you 10 must-have travel essentials for the holidays. These must-haves are a game-changer this holiday. So let’s get to it.

Headphones

No traveling experience is complete without an amazing pair of headphones. And this holiday season you know you are going to need them as you city, state, country hop. They will keep you entertained while you are sitting in front of your aunt pretending to listen to her at Thanksgiving dinner. Headphones are the perfect travel companion because you get to choose what you listen to. So don’t forget to grab your favorite pair or you can grab these. … they are awesome and cool and just what you need on your holiday getaway.

Warm jacket

The next essential must-have of the 10 must-have travel essentials for the holidays is a JACKET. Yes, I know that sounds like childs play but most people don’t remember that they need to bring one.

I once had a friend come visit me and she did not bring her jacket with her because she was coming to Florida. [Like sis you live in Kentucky you are going to go back and be mad cold.] That is why a nice warm jacket is a must for holiday travel this season. Or any cold season to be honest. And it can be cute as well so you don’t have to just settle for that basic one you usually carry around with you. It’s the holidays get yourself something nice.

Boots

It’s boots season. And one thing y’all should know is that I love me a great pair of boots. Boots are just so relevant this season so why not add them to your packing list. Grab your favorite pair of boots and keep your feet warm this holiday season. As for me, I’m dressing to impress and this airport fashionista came to show out. So don’t forget your boots this season.

Leggings

A not so well kept secret is that I hate pants. That means I wear mostly dresses and skirts and leggings. Yes, I love me a nice pair of leggings during the holiday season. I try to wear leggings tastefully because they are the only long pair of clothing I own. And I suggest you add them to your packing list this holiday season. The right pair of leggings will keep you warm. Make sure you get the ones that have the fleece lining. Those are my favorite during the holiday chilly season.

Scarf

Scarves are a fairly new accessory for me but a much-needed one for the holiday season. Did you know you can wear a scarf around your neck? I know it sounds crazy for me to distinguish what you do with the scarf. But I am black and I tend to wear scarfs on my head as an accessory to make me look cute not to stay warm. SO I must clarify the use of the scarf. With that being said. Grab you a warm fleece scarf that sits well around your neck. And you will soon realize that scarves are not just for your head.

Hats/beanie

I know your head gets cold. How do I know because mines do too? That is why I am adding hats or beanies as part of the 10 must-have travel essentials for the holidays. Hats or beanies are awesome because while you are using that scarf around your neck you can keep your head warm too. and they are stylish so you won’t feel that pull between wrapping your head with that scarf of using it around your neck. and to make it easy on you they have some awesome looking beanies and hats that will have head-turning in no time.

Earmuffs

Earmuffs are the hidden gem of the holiday season. These are warm-blooded creatures’ favorite things doing the holiday travel season. No one understands how cold your ears can get until they wear an earmuff and take it off. the comparison is uncanny. So don’t forget to get you a pair of earmuffs this holiday season. It is a travel essential that you will thank me for later.

Chapstick

As a woman chap lips just don’t have that sex appeal that I am looking for. That is why I am adding chapstick to the 10 must-have essentials for the holidays. I hate how chap my lips get during the winter season. So say goodbye to chap, peeling, bleeding, and painful lips during this holiday travel season. I just saved your life reminding you to pack this essential holiday necessity as you travel this season.

Long socks or knee-high socks.

long socks are cool, stylish, and a must-have essential part of your holiday packing list. Long socks are designed to be worn for warmth. they look good in boots and are a fashion statement piece that really brings an outfit together. So don’t forget to pack them because your feet need them and so does your style.

Handwarmers

Last but not least on the list of the 10 must-have travel essentials for the holidays is hand warmers. During the holidays most if not all of our travels are to the colder parts of the states. We go to awesome places like New York, Seattle, and Boston. And all those places have the same thing in common. SNOW. That is why hand warmers are an essential thing to make sure you have in your carry-on bag. They fit perfectly well in your pocket and in your gloves depending on the ones you buy. But most importantly your hands will thank me when you have feelings in your fingers while walking down the cold streets of that snowy travel destination.
