3 EASY TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE
You can have the best skincare regime and buy all of the best organic products in the marketplace or from your DIY collection, but if you don’t take care of you first, girl you just wasted your coins on products or ingredients and your skin won’t be any better than before you started using those organic products. Beauty is more than the outward appearance of a person. As cliché as it sounds, true beauty does lie within and I’ve found that in order to have your skin really, poppin’ you have to do the following: Here’s 3 easy tips to improve your skincare routine.
MORE WATER
Drink lots of water. Your body and skin need to flush out toxins daily and the only way to organically do that is to drink lots and lots of water. Now it’s totally up to you what brand of water you prefer but make sure you drink plenty of it. Do not drink tons of infused water every day, ask my stomach how does it know about the side of effects of doing that? Too much of anything is dangerous. I infused my waters with too many acidic fruits and was guzzling those infused waters daily, my stomach began cramping like c-r-a-z-y. Save your stomach lining and drink plenty of water, period!
LESS STRESS
Deal with the stress in your everyday life. Walking around your home, burning sage while your clay mask sets on your face won’t do ANYTHING for your life or skin if you don’t deal with the stress. It certainly won’t help get rid of that negative energy you’re warding off from arriving at your doorsteps, that comes from your everyday life. Face masks and coconut oil to seal in the moisture on your skin won’t help you prioritize that hectic schedule that is borderline driving you into a panic attack in 5-4-3-2-… While you use all of your organic skincare products to exfoliate on #SelfcareSaturdays, your life is slipping into shambles, literally. Deal with the stress in your everyday life, block out people and things that bring you negative energy, exfoliate, repeat.
REST REST REST
Rest when needed. After you’ve done all of that, your body needs proper rest. Your skincare products won’t work effectively if you have bags underneath your eyes from pulling all-nighters every night. Staying up late “grinding” and drinking several cups of coffee the next day to stay awake during your workday, is unhealthy sis. Your body needs to rest, heal and rebuild for the events and tasks that you have to do the following day, no excuses. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Your body and skin will thank you for it daily.
BONUS
Don’t drink excessive amounts of alcoholic beverages. I know it’s a hot girl summer but your body and skin need you to cool down every now and then and drink some green tea or drinks without sugar in it. Perfect opportunity to drink more water. This is the best natural beauty tip out there. Next time you’re around your friend who doesn’t drink or smoke, take a good look at her skin you can have that same glow sis.
Your skincare regime needs to match how you treat your overall body holistically. Being consistent with using skincare products but avoiding to naturally take care of the overall health of your body is not healthy at all. By adding these tips to your skincare regime, your skin will be glowing and your life will be much happier as you go about your day to day tasks.
