How To Make Traveling with a One-Year-Old Simple
Traveling with a one-year-old can be a delightful adventure if you plan ahead and stay prepared. It could also be a hectic experience due to lack of planning. My baby has been traveling since she was 3 months old, but each trip requires different essentials. Also, see my last post on How to Travel with a Baby.
Now that my baby is officially one, her traveling essentials are a little different. To prepare for her first birthday trip, I first made a checklist of everything she would need for the 10-day journey. I figured I’d share my list of How To Make Traveling with a One-Year-Old Simple.
Comprehensive Packing List for Traveling with a One-Year-Old
Clothing
- Onesies One for each day.
- Outfits 2-3 outfits for each day. (I always bring enough for each day and a few extras)
- Pajamas one for each day. (For tropical trips I normally bring lightweight onesies.)
- Shoes 2-3 pairs of shoes. 1-2 pair of sandals, and a pair of dress shoes.
- Socks based on the destination up to 5 socks.
- Hats My baby hates hats but I always bring 2 hats.
- Jackets a denim jacket and a baby cardigan. (More jackets for winter trips of course)
- Swimsuits at least 3 swimsuits for beach/tropical destinations.
