HOW I’M TRAINING FOR MY JANUARY 5K RACE
Heyyyy darlings, HAPPY FRIDAYYYYY!!!!! So I am super excited to kickoff the new year with a bi-weeky #FitFriday, I don’t wanna say WEEKLY because I have a feeling some weeks I might not have a fitness post so let’s make it every 2 weeks to be safe, lol.
So 2019 is the year I did not make not one FITNESS GOAL. I will not be doing any type of quick get skinny fast diet the goal is to simply WORKOUT. But the fun workouts. I have signed up for Kickboxing which I will do a different post about for the next #FitFriday. I also signed up for cycling (another post for another day). ANDDDDDD I will continue to RUN because I actually enjoy running. The current goal is to do a monthly 5k and a 10k by my birthday in July!!! Yes, I am SUPER nervous but I am also super excited and looking forward to challenging myself.
Of course the January 5k race is already on the books for the end of the month, and since I have a little under a month to train figured I’ll share how I am training for it.
RUNNING: First, I am running once a week, I wanna running about twice a week but I know I get a lot of cramp on my legs when I run twice a week.
LEG DAY: is becoming my favorite workout day. So Apart from running I am doing a lot of legs exercise. A lot of squats, lunges with 30lbs weighs on my back, and I’ve been getting a lot on the step-up.
KICKBOXING: And like I said I’ve take on kickboxing which I’m actually starting THIS MORNING!! So I will have some updates on that soon.
