I WAS GOING TO FREEZE MY EGGS. THEN I GOT PREGNANT

3 min read

THE SAME YEAR I WANTED TO FREEZE MY EGGS IS THE SAME YEAR I GOT PREGNANT. BECAUSE GOD’S TIMING IS EVERYTHING.

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY. And I am 8 months pregnant🙏🏾🤰🏾❤️

A few months before my birthday last year I ended things with someone that had no intention for me. LIKE NONE. I asked for the minimum and this man couldn’t give me the bare minimum. A week or so before my birthday I had my yearly checkup and talked to my doctor about freezing my eggs. I thought it was wize to freeze my eggs because these dudes were acting funny and I wanted to give myself options. My doctor gave me some referrals to go for fertility testing and start the process from there.

I start doing my research and made a mental note to start the process to freeze my eggs in September and hopefully go into 2023 with my eggs frozen. Then Sept. came, and I called some offices and asked questions about the process and insurance coverage and stuff.

(btw, egg freezing is generally not fully covered by insurance, but some providers will cover certain parts of the procedure. So if you are interested in freezing your eggs, I highly recommend speaking with your insurance provider first to learn what parts of the process may be covered)

From calling around I learned a lot about the process eggs freezing process but never made an appt. —-> Well, SEPT. 30th I swiped right on one last person on Bumble. Because I had also decided online dating wasn’t working, meeting people in person wasn’t working and I’ve been putting a lot of work into myself and showing up correctly. So I was at the point I told myself that I’m just going to surrender my dating life, hand it to God, and whatever happens, happened.

WELLLLLL, Come to find out my last Bumble swipe was MY PERSON.

Yes, I met the most amazing man on Bumble. And in just 10 months of being together I got pregnant, got engaged, AND got married. Wow, I am expecting our first baby, AND I still have a few years before my 40th birthday to have another baby if I want to.

AND OHH, last month when I was cleaning to make room for my baby and my man I found my list, you know the things I want in a husband. It had 27 things on it and my man is literally 25 out of the 27 things. YES WILD. But again, clear intentions and clear actions and lots of conversations with God are how we got here.

I said ALL that to say this, TRUST GOD’S TIMING FOR YOUR LIFE!!

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY TO ME!!!! Later I will talk about the top 2 intentions I set for my life this birthday but right now I want to celebrate my life and sit in gratitude for a while.

SHOP MY SWIMSUIT

Btw, I took these pictures back in June so my belly is much bigger now, lol. My swimsuit is from Shein, it does come in red, NOT PINK. I’m having a Barbie week for my birthday so I had my editor turn it pink in just one picture. Grab my swimsuit HERE, I am wearing a size large and when I took these pictures I was 7 months pregnant. For a $13 swimsuit the quality is pretty impressive and fits true to size.

Quick message: ladies, I wanted to freeze my eggs so I wouldn’t settle. So if you are looking at your life and you are not where you hope to be romantically and you know a family is important to you, I highly suggest freezing your eggs.
