Atlanta Event: A Toast To Werking Women
Invitation-Only
This past Sunday, I had the absolute pleasure of attending a fabulous invitation-only Atlanta event hosted by Koereyelle Dubose. Koereyelle is an International Speaker, award-winning entrepreneur and educator who’s been featured nationally by Forbes, ESSENCE Magazine, The Huffington Post, and more for her empowerment projects.
Atlanta’s Fiercest Werking Women
Koereyelle is on a mission to help women uncover their purpose, prioritize their life and profit from their passions. So, it only makes sense that she would bring together over 40 of Atlanta’s fiercest werking women to celebrate the launch of the summer issue of WERK Mag, a lifestyle magazine for werking women. The room was filled with women who have uncovered their purpose and are now profiting from their passions!
Shades of Pink
The dress code was “Shades of Pink”; so, the invitees came in wearing their best pink ensembles. During the first hour of the event, beautiful boss women sashayed into the guest lounge area to enjoy some sweet Luc Belaire Luxe Rose’. As we sipped bubbly, we were able to catch up, meet, and network with the likes of makeup artists, fitness experts, photographers, brand experts, marketing professionals, clothing designers, copy writers, and women from many more professions! If there was any area of your business that needed improvement, there was someone in the room who could solve that problem.
Rose’ All Day
After mingling and greeting one another for a while, it was time to head to the dinner table. The tables were set up beautifully with multiple touches of pink accents. Each setting was personalized by individual glasses with the guests’ names printed on it; it was perfect! We enjoyed a full course meal prepared by Chef Jrod, and had sweet desserts courtesy of Simply Sweets ATL.
Unveiling of the Summer Cover Girl
From there, the unveiling of the cover of the WERK Mag summer issue took place. The cover revealed a gorgeous photo of cover girl, Nichole Lynel! If you don’t know Nichole Lynel, where have you been? She has been in the fashion industry since 2002 and recently made her first million in her own boutique, Shop Nichole Lynel. She’s a CEO, Ecommerce Consultant, Speaker, Creative Director, Fashion Buyer, and Designer. She’s a force, and is the perfect person to grace the cover of this summer’s issue of WERK Mag.
Dropping Gems
After the unveiling of the cover, Koereyelle and Nichole sat down for a quick Q&A where Nichole shared some gems about building a million-dollar fashion brand from the ground up. Nichole stressed the importance of always being willing to WERK and be passionate about the area you’re pursuing.
Experiences as Entrepreneurs
Guests were also encouraged to drop a few gems pertaining to their experiences as entrepreneurs! For example, a few book recommendations provided were Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend and Discover the Power Within You by Eric Butterworth. Those who stood to speak stressed the importance of relationships, working with those who want to work with you, and including God in everything you do.
After our guests dropped more informative gems, it was time to close out the event with a group photo!
Black Girl Magic is Real
There was so much beauty, intelligence, boldness, strength, class, wit, and comradery in that room! I left the building feeling inspired to WERK harder, be more creative, and use all the gifts/talents God has given me. It was such a blessing to be in a room filled with women who are making their dreams a reality. I heard not one excuse, and not one complaint. It was all positive energy! You don’t get this from most Atlanta events. I hope to be in more rooms like this in the future! Thank you so much to Koereyelle and every single person who made this event what it was, INSPIRATIONAL!
