Then you are surely missing out. There are so many reasons why you should visit south Florida. But for now, I am going to tell you about 7 exciting reasons why you should visit South Florida.

You don’t believe me. Just go ahead and check out this list. I guarantee you that I will make a believer out of you.

Why You Should Visit South Florida

The Sun

Before I can talk about anything else, I will talk about the most known fact about South Florida.

WE GOT SUNLIGHT.

And we got lots of it. I mean the sun is always shining in this little tropical paradise. It’s no wonder the whole North wants to move here.

The weather year-round range from 84 to 70 degree Fahrenheit and our winters range from 50 to 45 and to be honest that a freak winter for us.

Year-round summer makes South Florida the best place to visit anytime.

The People And Their Culture

Two in one reason to visit Florida. You can’t speak about the people without speaking about the culture. Did I forget to mention that South Florida is a melting pot of the Caribbean and Latin American culture. The people who inhabit South Florida are amazing.

With many different cultures that are big on hospitality and community. The people of South Florida will make you feel welcome and loved. There is not a corner you can turn where you will not find a welcoming grandmother or abuelita who will take you under her wing and gently guide you to your location.

The people brought their unique culture with them so there is always something to do on the weekend. Another experience that you have not yet experienced. Another culture that you have yet visited.

The Music

South Florida has its own flavor when it comes to music. The music is an influence of all the cultures that south Florida is home to. We have some of the best reggaeton a mix between dancehall, soca, toasting, and hip hop.

Then there are all the greats Zouke, soca, Kompa, reggae and so much more that will keep you dancing till the night is over. No wonder Miami doesn’t sleep. We are constantly dancing the night away. So if you have never listened to South Florida flavor then you are missing out.

Why You Should Visit South Florida

The Food

For all my foodies out there. South Florida has some amazing eats. The food alone keeps me here and I guarantee it will bring you back.

We are surrounded by amazingly beautiful Latin and Caribbean islands and that bleed over into our food. We have it all the Caribbean flavor from Jamaica to Haiti to Trinidad and so much more. We offer Latin American flavors from Cuba, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. As a foodie, you will not be bored.

Your mouth will explode with all the wonderful flavors and spices and you will do your little dance of joy. Plus your Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and all other social media you have will be teeming with pictures of amazingly tasty foods. Making your followers jealous.

The Parks

This is a hidden gem about South Florida that many people do not know. We have amazing local parks. Besides amusement parks our local parks are beautiful and with the sun at their disposal. They are green and spacious so you and those little ones or significant other can play and have fun.

The best part about them is that they are located in almost every city in South Florida and people actually go to them. They offer trails and bike paths and some areas rock climbing, water parks and other exciting activities.

Most parks are free and some only charge an entrance fee of like 3 dollars. One of my favorite parks is called Volunteer Park in Sunrise, Florida. It offers trails, bike path, horse riding, and a farmer market every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.

The Night Life

Of course, no matter where you visit the first questions you ask about is the nightlife. I have to admit I am not big for nightlife. Mostly because I sleep early. Pretty boring I know. But I am aware that many people enjoy staying up late at night.

And guess what South Florida offers some pretty exciting nightlife. There is Miami beach and all the things that happen down there. Miami Beach doesn’t really sleep. They open late offering you some of the best nightlife and clubs that South Florida has to offer.

Then there is Ft Lauderdale Beach and downtown Los Olas. The nightlife is good and a little bit more low key then Miami Beach and Downtown. But nonetheless, you will be having the time of your life.

I just recommended you wear comfortable shoes because walking is no joke. And I would bring money with me because you got to pay for parking. Better yet hop into an Uber and just have worry-free fun. Just always check the Uber before you get in.

Why You Should Visit South Florida

The Beaches

I know you have been waiting for me to talk about this part. Yes, we enjoy a plethora of beaches. They are my most favorite part of living in south Florida. I have to tell you they are pretty exciting places to go to. The sand, the sun, the surf, and the atmosphere of these places keep you coming back for more. At least they keep me coming back.

I used to go to college in North Florida Tallahassee to be exact and I was shocked that there was not a beach around. My friends and I had to drive an hour to the nearest beach and it was worth it. But boy was I uncomfortable in my brief stay in Tallahassee. I missed the beach so much.

The beaches of South Florida are often teeming with life. Here is a list of some of my favorite recommended one. The list is ordered from my most favorite to the ones I go to sometimes. Dania Beach, Ft Lauderdale, Hollywood Beach, West Palm Beach, Miami Beach, Key West.

They are fun and always welcoming. Ready to offer you the tan and relaxation you long for.
