Dress ALL the curves….. but make it fashion!

This has to be my most favorite fashion season of the year! This is when the verifiable fashionistas shine! The change in weather requires an update to your wardrobe. Why not completely style on em in the process? Additionally, we are in the beginning stages of the holiday season, and it’s time to shop! Christmas 2019 is gonna be LIT for us plus size baddies, get your coins ready! Because i want to share with you guys my 5 plus-size boutiques and designers you should know about.

I love shopping with small owned businesses that cater to plus sizes. Think about it, these business owners decided to service the most underrepresented category of shoppers, simply because they know we deserve it! They love what they do, which shows in the selections that they offer, their customer service skills, and their fantastic eye for what we need in our closets. I’ve always felt that designers that choose to dress all curves are REAL designers. Now, I only can do a basic stitch, but I recognize the skill it takes to cut fabric that compliments curves and moves with real women.

It’s interesting to witness the current trend of so many straight-sized “brick and mortar” stores closing due to lack of change. Either they were unwilling to extend their size selections (I’m looking at you Victoria Secret), they didn’t keep up with trendy options, or they’re old school tactics lost valuable customers. That is why we must support those that support us, and this short list is just a start. We have to ensure these boutiques and designers can keep their doors open and must protect them at all costs!

1. Boutique 115

The 1st one of the 5 plus-size boutiques and designers you should know about is Boutique 115. Formerly known as She’s Got Curves, has been operating since 2003 ( we are Myspace Years Old). We are online-only, and we currently ship from Northern California. We take pride in being the first ones to do it. Why? Because we were told, we couldn’t. As you know, just like the hair, “OTHERS” had the industry on lock. We pushed forward and made our mark on the internet selling Plus Size Fashion upfront and no longer in the back of the store. We focus on a unique style, quality, and fit, and we are not going anywhere!!
