5-Day Watermelon Juice Cleanse

After eating all kinds of food during my recent 10-day trip, it’s time to reset, detox my body, and focus on improving my gut health. With summer coming to a close, so is watermelon season. I’ve decided to go for one last watermelon juice cleanse. And shoot for a 5-day watermelon juice cleanse.

Let’s get into it;

A watermelon juice cleanse is a refreshing and hydrating way to detoxify your body. Watermelon is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making it an excellent choice for a cleanse. Here is my exact 5-day plan and process.

  • Hydration: Watermelon is 92% water, keeping you hydrated.

Two days before the cleanse do these:

To start go pick up 2-3 BIG watermelon. Check out your local Farmers Market. I live in Atlanta, Ga and my go-to Farmer’s Market is Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market. Their watermelons are always ripe, sweet and less than $10.

Daily Plan

You will be drinking and eating watermelon only for the first 1-4 days

Day 1-4 Full Cleanse

  1. Breakfast: 16-32oz of watermelon juice
  2. Mid-Morning Snack: Fresh watermelon slices
  3. Lunch: 32oz of watermelon juice
  4. Afternoon Snack: 16-32oz of watermelon juice
  5. Dinner: 32oz of watermelon juice
  6. Drink water in between as needed

Day 5: Transition

  1. Breakfast: 16-32oz of watermelon juice
  2. Mid-Morning Snack: Smoothie with blueberries, banana, and almond milk
  3. Lunch: Light salad with mixed greens and watermelon
  4. Afternoon Snack: 16-32oz of watermelon juice
  5. Dinner: Steamed vegetables with a light dressing

Post-Cleanse

Gradually introduce solid foods back into your diet. Start with easily digestible foods such as fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. Avoid heavy or processed foods for the first few days after the cleanse.

Tips

  • Consume plenty of water throughout the cleanse.
  • Listen to your body and rest if needed.
  • Avoid strenuous physical activity during the cleanse.
